The
Red Tie
Affair
Our Red Tie
Affair gala on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Fairmont Miramar
Hotel in Santa Monica will honor the umanitarian spirit of extraordinary
individuals who have shown courage and unselfish character.
This year we will be honoring Actress and Executive Producer Jada
Pinkett Smith as the 2010 recipient of the National American Red Cross "Crystal
Cross" award for her outstanding contributions to humanitarian efforts and her
support of the Amercian Red Cross. Throughout her career, she has been an
inspiration to many people.
We will also be presenting a very special "Red Cross Spirit Award" to
the cast and crew of the hit TV series
“HawthoRNe.”. This show educates and motivates thousands of
viewers with their portrayal of the daring struggle to preserve life. We've
chosen "HawthoRNe" because it reflects our mission to help people and save
lives, and recognizes the heroric nursing profession which is at the roots of
the Amercian Red Cross.
The evening will include a gourmet dinner designed
by celebrity chef Nick Stellino , a
private VIP reception, a Casino, live music, and an auction featuring exciting
and unique items.
Guests are asked to wear an element of red
in their attire. Wearing red signifies your support for the American Red Cross
and for the thousands of individuals helped by the local Red Cross every
day.
Your support of the Red
Tie Affair ensures that we have the financial resources to
continue and improve all services provided by the American Red Cross of Santa
Monica. Since the American Red Cross is privately funded and receives no
government funding, our ability to provide services to those in need is directly
dependent on community financial support.
We are inviting you to join us and
assure you that your contribution will make a difference. Please contact Marcia Caldirola for
tickets, sponsorships or tribute book ad's.at marcia@redcrossofsantamonica.org
or call 310-394-3773.
Thank you for your generous support of the
American Red Cross of Santa Monica.
Compassionate individuals like you play a vital role in ensuring that we
are able to prevent, prepare, and respond to disasters both locally and
nationally.
